Our class of Prepa Et Sup had an immersion week in English from the December16th to December 19th. We were helped by our trainer Mr Croix and another trainer Florence.
On the first day, we played the role of journalists in group of 8 people. It was a good time for us. Then we had a tea break, where we ate English and Scottish biscuit and drank tea. In the afternoon we presented our internship report in English, which allowed us to express ourselves in front of a large group of people.
On Tuesday, we met directly at the English library and we had a game which consisted in searching books thanks to the internet and references. At the end we all borrowed a book so that we can present it to the class in January. In the afternoon we discovered the syrup company called Giffard. We were able to discover the company as a whole. At the end, we tasted different syrups. Finally we attended a training session of a typical irish sport, Gaelic football.
On Wednesday, we had to present a cultural theme such as Ellis Island, Reggae, Nelson Mandela and others. It allowed us to discover different aspects of the english culture. In the afternoon, we went to see a rather strange movie called « it must be heaven ».
On Thursday morning we did a mock trial of the case of the « Central Park Jogger ». In the afternoon, we welcomed some foreign students from the lycée and we were able to learn more about their lives. In the evening, we all ate pizzas together.
This week was very enriching, it also allowed us to have a better class cohesion.
